The mental age of the child , Which is how the child behaves and the capabilities of a child is compared to the physical age which is measured with the number of years . The physical age is compared to the intellectual abilities of a child . Psychologist generally checks the intelligence of the child by assessments and by scoring the scores obtained with the use of bell curve analysis . It also varies that what kind of intelligence is measured .
