How can these 5 factors be incorporated into a program to improve the lives of citizens in your country? (300 words)
Motivational drives tend to arise from external influences, internal factors or a combination of both that differently impact behaviours and goal pursuit. Extrinsic motives arise when individuals engage in goal seeking behaviour in order to earn a reward or avoid punishment. An example of a behaviour that is the result of external motivation is putting up one’s picture on social media in order to get “likes” from others. On the other hand, intrinsic motives are those that lead to goal seeking behaviour for personal rewards; essentially, it involves performing an activity for its own sake rather than the desire for some external reward. For instance, the celebrated Dutch artist, Vincent Van Gogh created a new painting everyday, as an expression of his creativity.
