Answer #1

As we try to understand the Information Revolution that defines our post-industrial society as the sociologists Durkheim, is most useful in making "sense" of this because he emphasizes the importance of division of labor as this will lead to increased specialization in the modern society, for example by accessing a website people can get lots of information and hence specialize much more than before. Thus the boom of information will make people more specialized and informed than before.

Q: make a detailed responce to the paragragh : Given Marx, Weber, and Durkheim, I find Max Weber to give the most useful explanation for making sense of our post-industrial society. Weber thought that society is shaped by ideals and thoughts of the people within that society. He outlined two main worldviews of societies: tradition and rationality. Cultures which base their daily lives on success of the past and values of their ancestors- traditional- act on the reasoning of their...

Providing security for an organization can be a costly venture. The cost of safeguarding our information and resources should never exceed the value of that information and resource. As an MIS manager we are forced to make some very tough decisions each day. Based on what you researched online, select a security measure that you feel may be too costly and/or provides only minimized benefit and explain why. Try to discuss this from a different perspective than the regular Joe,...

Is there a significant sense in which humans are highly complex organic machines? Humans are obviously far more complicated than any computer or computer program nowadays, but those things are fast approaching what humans can do (and have surpassed human abilities in certain areas). Then when you study how human beings actually work, and how they do what they do, you realize that we have hardware (the stuff that genetics gets you) and software (education and experiences), inputs (interaction with...

Faulty Attributions Included in our many decision-making errors is the way in which we explain actions and events around us. Based on our observations, we tend to make decisions about whether another person's actions are internally or externally caused. One model of attributional processes suggests that when we are familiar with a person, we rely on three judgments to make this decision: consistency of the person's action, distinctiveness of that action, and consensus of that action with actions of others....
