Answer #1

Emerging adulthood is a newer concept, the people in their 20s are called emerging adults. This is a life span developmental stage between the adolescence and young adulthood. This stage of life is ,the age of exploration for better alternatives of career, is an age of instability that is the individual is yet to settle at one place in life, a stage that gives more freedom, a stage that has less responsibility that is no marriage or parenthood. Thus, at this stage of life a person enjoys the luxuries of life. But,this is not a universal life stage,as it is more seen in industrial and developed countries. The social and economical development of these countries provide better opportunities for higher studies. The socio-economic development had caused delay in marriages, parenthood and other responsibilities of young adulthood. Also, the socio-economic has increased women's right and has changed attitude towards premarital sex. Emerging adulthood is gradually becoming a universal life stage as it is in the process of emergence in developing nations too.
