According to World Health Organization (WHO), violence is defined as "the intentional use of physical force or power, threatened or actual, against oneself, another person, or against a group or community, which either results in or has a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death, psychological harm, maldevelopment, or deprivation,"

One of the great social determinant of health is violence. Violence can be physical,sexual,psychological or emotional. Violence have serious lifelong non-injury health consequences.People may engage in high risk behaviours such as alcohole abuse,substance misuse,smoking which can lead to diabetis, HIV/AIDS, cardio-vasculardisorders,depression.It may results for premature death.
