Ethics are extremely crucial in the criminal justice system. Apart from just the code of conduct, ethics in the criminal justice system have direct implications for the lives of others.They have a responsibility to protect the citizens of the state that they serve. They have to do so while maintaining trust with those individuals. A lot of people rely on the criminal justice system to feel safe and secure. If they're unethical in carrying out their duties, it sends the entire society into chaos.
