Answer #1

Two possible outcome of incorrect grammar and punctuations or neglect of grammatical rules while communicating electronically at workplace are:

  • Grammatical error in punctuation and rules would create misunderstanding and the effectiveness of the message will be lost. Grammatical rules and proper punctuation are essential for an effective communication when it's through electronic medium, otherwise,it would create confusion in the readers mind and the effectiveness of the message would be lost.
  • If the grammatical rules and punctuation are not followed by the sender while communicating electronically, it will impact the reputation and impression of the sender adversely. As it will give a poor impression of the sender to the reader who has been sent the message, and this will earn a bad reputation for the sender in the future.

Example of such miscommunication is, when you come across job application via email that has grammatical errors, the first impression that it creates in you for that individual is a poor image of that applicant, there is less chance that you would call that individual for an interview even though he has all required credentials. Thus, grammatical error can cost a lot, hence, should always be avoided.
