Discussion: Paleolithic Diet
What to do:
It has become a trend for people to start following a paleolithic diet similar and each the way our ancestors did. Please research the paleolithic diet and comment on whether or not you believe this trend to be a fad and how hard it would be to follow this way of eating in our modern fast-paced world where fast food reigns.
Paleolithic Diet OR caveman diet or stone-age diet consists of consumption of foods that are presumed to have been they foods consumed by humans during the stone age such as vegetables, fruits, nuts, roots, and meat and typically excludes foods that humans cultivated once they started growing and cultivating foods from being hunter and gatherer. Thus the Paleolithic Diet excludes; the dairy products, grains, sugar, legumes, processed oils, salt, alcohol or coffee. This trend is a fad and it became popular due to Walter Voegtlin and the best-selling books of Loren Cordain further made it popular. It is quite hard to follow this way of eating in our modern fast-paced world where fast food reigns because of eating; vegetables, fruits, nuts, roots, and meat all require cutting and chopping and washing which is very time-consuming.
