Answer #1

I would discuss apporaches based on my own knowledge. Durable or life long leadership can be gained by following ways

Knowledge - A person should have good knowledge in order to sustain in the competition, he should to know where and how to use the knowledge. Having versatile knowledge also helps in running team smoothly. Knowledge also gives confidence to any person.

Being flexible - A leader should understand the psychology of his team mates. He should identify which team member is good and what are his weakness. A leader should have open approach so that team members can discuss problems with team leader very openly. He should also carry good judgment skills

Forecasting - A good leader should always forecast upon things that would happen, he should be able to see the risk or benefits before jumping upon anything. A good leader has accuracy of forecasting, where the team would fail and what measures should be taken in order to avoid it.

If the leader is not good in communication, or ifthere are any gaps in communication then things would go in toss. There would be confusion, if we concentrate on the word processes, which could lead to chaos. Eg, while explaining in software model, if particular process is not explained clearly then there would be problem when team members are working on that software. There can be very easy blame game of have explained or did not explained correctly. In such case, various methods such as documentation or PPT can also be handy.
