Essay Question:

1. Why do socialists not believe in the five big traits of human behaviour? (e.g. neuroticism, agreeableness, etc.)

Answer #1

Socialists refuse to believe in the construct of the big five model, the personality theory that categorizes each individual into percentages of a personality characteristic that they display the most within the purview of this theory, as they believe that human personality ranges on a scale of spectrum that is larger than the big five model that has been squeezed and contorted in size in order to gain convenience and categorize people into boxes.

People, too, tend to follow this trend of model as people like beng categorized and boxed for it helps them define them. It is a component of 'fun,' so to speak. But socialists are of the belief that these categorization aren't precisely true, and do not help gauge the nuances of actual human personality.
