Universality in Peace Like a River

Many of us did not grow up hunting, yet many readers find the passages discussing the Land’s hunting experience to be highly interesting and even tension-filled. Homework Answers

Answer #1

The non-universal experience of hunting in the cold freezing cold morning render a universal moment because readers can aasociate this experience with their own similar moment in their own family where they would have woke up early in a cold morning, worked collectively sharing the feeling of oneness and would have felt the same joy as the author in the story.

The other moment that Enger renders universal is the shared humour in the families around the world. As when Reuben just manages to wound a goose ,it tries to escape and the chase of Scot after it amuses the father and sons who were watching it. Similarly during our family ventures there are many moments of such amusements and humour, and these moments are treasured for forever as the best memories of our life.
