Discuss in human life is intrinsically valuable? Give reason to support your answer

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The basic idea is that humans have intrinsic value as they have a soul. Ensoulment provides us with better arguments for intrinsic human value, under the Christian worldview. Under the Christian worldview, human beings are made in the image of God, thus a person has value because that person is made in God’s image due to the very nature of being human. As long as a person believes in the Christian God he believes that God created humans in His image. If people have these two beliefs as a premise, then follows logically that humans; irrespective of their stage of development or ability to actualize all capacities have intrinsic value.
