Dissociative fugue, or fugue state or psychogenic fugue, is a dissociative disorder. This is a rare psychiatric disorder which is characterized by reversible amnesia for; personal identity, memories, personality, and the different identifying characteristics of individuality. Symptoms of dissociative fugue include; sudden and unplanned travel away from home, inability to recall events of the past or important information about the person's life, confusion or loss of; memory pertaining to identity, assuming a new identity to make up for the loss.
