When, in your opinion does human life begin? Substantiate your answer with as much evidence and reasoned argument as you can

Although there is much debate that surrounds this issue, I opine that human life begins during birth, when the child is brought from the womb to the real world. Until then, it’s existence is solely determined by the mother and is therefore an extension of the mother’s body only. One cannot say that a foetus has an independent existence otherwise. When a child finally comes in contact with the outside world, it’s biological functions commence more or less independently. In that sense, I believe that is the state where human life begins.
