Group of 7 (G-7) refers to the world's seven most powerful industrialized democracies : Germany , Canada, France, Italy, Japan, The United Kingdom and The USA, come together to meet yearly to discuss the issues which are of grave importance to the world like international security, economic governance etc.
Between 1998 till 2013, Russia also became the part of this group and so it was called G-8, but after Russia invaded Cremia in 2013, Russia was removed from the group and it again became G-7
