Utilitarian Ethics suggests that an act would be considered ethical if it maximizes benefit to maximum number of people and reduce any harm. When we analyze this statement under this light, it’s wrong for individuals to do whatever they like, that would in turn affect many people. It would be selfish for individuals to fulfil their own needs without worrying about other people. According to Utilitarian, people should engage in acts that would bring more benefit to many people while at the same time strive hard to reduce any harm.
