How do I write a review of Literature on substance abuse. Its my first time and I'm having problems getting started

You can begin with a brief paragraph on the different substances which have been studied. Such as alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, cocaine and other narcotics, hallucinogens and opioids, heroine, meth, and synthetic drugs like LSD. Then you can mention scientific studies in these areas.

Also, it would be perhaps interesting to consider writing a few lines about the recent debate about legalisation of certain banned drugs like marijuana for medical purposes in your conclusion.
