Must an individual's experience be purposeful for learning to occur?

The direct experience is always important for leaning . Many a times the experience may not be purposeful still it adds to te memories of an individual and aids in learning. learning happens not only beacuse of direct exprience for agoal but also adds to our experiences and can be used when needed. Human brain has several synapsis which combine together to give meaning to various circumstances .

The experience at times may not be purposeful but learning will still happen .
