Answer #1

Instant messaging/texting is replacing some functions of email in business as groups are formed on social media sites such as the what’s app in we can send the messages and get live updates. For example for organizing a meeting of the employees the manager can contact all the employees in the group instantaneously in contrast to other methods such as the emailing which take time. However, the disadvantage of instant messaging is a lack of privacy and instant messaging available all the time causes distractions that interfere with work and lead to lowered productivity.

By using blog writing and podcasts in our business to support both internal and external communication initiatives we can make the path to employees consuming important internal communications content more frictionless and appealing. Bridge time zones as our live content can be made available on demand immediately. By providing a mobile experience for listening though podcast we can ensure and engage with internal communications so that the non-desk employees can access key content. The cost of communication through blogs and podcasts is low. An example is companies such as; Starbucks, Wegmans, Patagonia etc
