Hugo Chavez idolize Simon Bolivar in
every aspect of his political career. The three example of this
influence in his political career are:
- As Simon Bolivar wanted Venezuela
to be free of Spanish imperialism, similarly, Chavez wants to
restrict the influence of U.S in the matters of Venezuela.
- Chavez is inspired by Simon Bolivar
to establish self dependency as the national fervour.This fervour
was behind the government control of natural resources and to
distribute the profits to the poor.
- Wants a Latin America that's is
free from the economic and political influence of U.S.A, as he sees
U.S.A similar to the Spanish imperialism and their exploitative
nature
