What do you think the final message is from, "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner"? What details lead you to this final message and why?
The final message of the Rime of the Ancient Mariner is very simple love all the creatures on this earth equally. Just because one is human doesn’t mean they deserve greater respect and reason to live. When the Albatross was killed by the mariner, it looked like a bad omen and all the sailors were haunted. It never occurred to them until the whole nature started tormenting them. Finally when the mariner repents and understands the truth he says the following lines.
“He prayeth best, who loveth best
All things both great and small
For the dear God who loveth us
He made and loveth all”
God has created this world for all and everything on this earth, the trees, birds, animals etc should be respected and given their due respect just like the humans. Human beings for their selfishness destroy nature. This has to be stopped and ancient mariner leaves us with this message.
