The brain image of a person with a mental disorder differs from the brain image of a person without mental disorder. Let us take the example of a mental disorder called Schizophrenia. It is a serious mental disoredr in which people are not able to think normally an interprete the real situations quite abnormally. they tend to have dillusions, hallucinations which hamper the normal functioning of the brain.

Difference between the brain image of the person with schezophrenia and that of a normal person:

  • Schezophreniac brains are differnt from the normal brains in terms of total tissue volume and activity.
