1. Describe the duration and capacity of memory at each of the three memory stages. Give specific examples of memory, or forgetting at each stage.

The three stages of memory are Encoding/conceal, encoding/depository and retrievals/ reclamation and their respective memory storage are sensory memory, short-term memory and long- term memory. Sensory memory is known as the initial state where any information first registered, and have large capacity, its consistent is approximately to the initial 200- 500 mile seconds after an item is perceived/recognize and duration last for less than a second; For example- the ability to look at something like looking at the painting and try to remember the painter name with just a second of observation. Short-term memory has a fairly/equitably limited capacity, it can hold/clench about six -seven item at a time for not more than 20-30 seconds; For example- what you ate last night, where did you park your cark this morning i.e.. remembering details of short time ago. Long- term memory capacity could be unlimited the main constraint/impediment depends in recalling it. Duration might be a few minutes or a life time; Fox example- Recollection of an important day in the distant past like anniversary, birthdays, graduation days etc.
