Informed consent and debriefing of subjects is essentially an integral part of a research to be considered as ethical. But sometimes to get unbiased results researchers need some information to kept from disclosing to the subjects, but again in such studies there should always be provisions for the safety of subjects in every manner. Milgram's experiments had no doubt have crossed the ethical lines, but, this study has shed important insights into the human behavior under authority. Deception was necessary to have an unbiased study results, and the study didn't had much psychological stress on the subjects that is they didn't had any long term effect of the study on their personal life. Hence,I agree that the Milgram's Experiments were justified.
