It is important to do a thorough check up when hiring for police services beacuse of the following reasons :-

1. The job requires people with higest integrity as it is for enforcing laws.

2. Police has sensitive information which may be leaked out

3. To ensure that the poeple hired themselves are law abiding

4. to protect forces from any allegeations at a later stage and feel embarrasment .

IN the hiring process checcking the capability and attitude of the officers is most important . Their personality testing is important as it is because of the personality test we would know the potential of a person to perform well. IN fact in all jobs psychometric testing plays a very important role. pleople may acquire skills after joining the organization but it is almost to change their psychological orientation .
