needs assessment is a systematic process for determining and addressing needs or gaps between current conditions and desired conditions.

it is a part of planning process often used for improvement in individuals,education,orgnizations or communities.it can refine and improve a product such as a training or a service that a client receives.it can be an effective tool to clarify problemsand identify appropriate interventions and solutions.it also helpts to improve quality of policy or program decisions.thus resulting in improvement in performance.

if you dont have lot of time,you can go to a meeting where the key audience is and ask them few important questions,either verbally or with questionnaire. forms come back to you in ten minutes.in about ten minutes more you can get results that will be helpful.
