Do you think it is important to be sexually monogamous? If so, why or why not? (In your opinion)

(About how 36% of homosexual men thought that it was important to be sexually monogamous, while 71% of lesbians, 84% of heterosexual wives, and 75% of husbands. Why do you think there is a big difference between the attitudes about monogamous? )

Sexual Monogamy is a personal choice and a preference. However, I reckon, sexual monogamy is of utmost importance. Difference in attitudes about monogamy may exist because partners may not be sexually satisfied in a relationship. They may be happy in their personal relationship, but sexually they may not be satisfied. They instead look for an open relationship where they could have multiple partners. Majority of people cannot digest the fact that it is only person for the rest of their lives that they have to be sexually involved with. They want their sex lives to be spiced up and thus, they choose to have multiple sexual partners.

In my opinion sexual monogamy is important because otherwise I consider it to be cheating. While you are with one person in a relationship, it is outright wrong to have sex with another man or woman. If a person is not sexually satisfied, he must resolve issues with his/her partner instead of just having sex with someone else. However, if both the partners agree to an open relationship, it is clearly because they want variety in their sex lives. Sexual Monogamy could get boring.
