Psychological disrorder is malady that creates multiple problems for a person.It distorts the cognitive, emotional and behavioral functions of a person. The sufferer has dysfunctions in psychological, biological and developmental process.It creates distress and hampers the social, occupational and day to day activities of life of the sufferer.

DSM

DSM or Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders is a handbook that guides the professionals of mental health in diagnosing various mental ailments and dysfunctions.

DSM classifies the mental disorders into various categories based on the symptoms that each disorder exihibit.Classified categories of mental illness along with symptoms for diagnosing and general treatment method is found in DSM,this provides a common language for the diagnosis of mental disorders for clinicians, psychiatrists and psychologists across the world.
