Answer #1

1. How can violence against women be framed using a Psychology of women approach (i.e. what contributes to it, how does it get processed, treated, impact on women and others)

Violence against women can be explained through the trends that had been prevalent in the society in the older days. In the earlier times, women were considered to be frail and subject to be undermined. This thinking led men to believe that they have rights to be above women and I’ll treat women. Moreover, women would never object to men for their mistreatment and would absorb what was being done to them. In the recent times, this perception has changed. Women do not take in such maltreatment and have learnt to put their voice forward which has led to increased aggression among men, trying to exercise their physical power and show off masculinity by raising their hands on women.

2. What are the salient features of "older women" (ie. their realities, functioning, social costructionism)

Older women are characterised by the presence of grayer hair with slow ness in their daily activities and increased pain in bones and joints. There may be issues with hearing with problems in digestion. Menopause is one of the major characteristics of all the older women with decrease in immune function. There may be possibilities of atherosclerosis as well as urinary problems. There may be weakening of vocal cords. They may be affected with the social structure and might be worried about what people would think about their actions p, and might be performing actions with respect to thinking about the society.
