1. How can violence against women be framed using a Psychology of women approach (i.e. what contributes to it, how does it get processed, treated, impact on women and others)
Violence against women can be explained through the trends that had been prevalent in the society in the older days. In the earlier times, women were considered to be frail and subject to be undermined. This thinking led men to believe that they have rights to be above women and I’ll treat women. Moreover, women would never object to men for their mistreatment and would absorb what was being done to them. In the recent times, this perception has changed. Women do not take in such maltreatment and have learnt to put their voice forward which has led to increased aggression among men, trying to exercise their physical power and show off masculinity by raising their hands on women.
