Answer #1

Sylvia Plath in her poem ‘Daddy’ brings out the oppression she faced in her life both from her father and her husband. She narrates how she struggled under the male oppression. This conflict ended her life as she committed suicide in 1963 when her husband left her for another woman and falling mentally ill.

I learnt that woman should be given their rights and shouldn’t be discriminated. Women writers like Sylvia Plath with lots of imagination and talent should have been respected and given her due respect. In my life, I would respect any woman who I come across. The conflict resolution she chose was not acceptable to me because ending her life will only show her as a weak creature. She should have fought hard to live and not to die.
