In your own words, how has the Internet challenged our current classification system for paraphilias? Is it appropriate to classify someone using an Internet camera to spy on others as a voyeur? How about someone who strips over the Internet?

Internet has revolutionized the world with almost everything from shopping to learning and sex is not an exception. With the invention of internet whatever was considered as immoral, has become a casual thing. Say for an argument that someone uses internet for their study purposes. The chances are more that they will get carried away by the flashing half nude girls at the side of the page. After all we are all human beings and we get distracted.But the two terms paraphilia and voyeur refers to the extent people go in terms of the porn sites and involving in sexual activities and fantasies that are not natural.

Paraphilia is enjoying sexual pleasure without using the genitals with even inanimate objects, whereas voyeur means someone who enjoys pleasure watching people nude or engaged in sexual activities. Internet facilitates both through its various porn sites.

The question about someone showing their naked body on the webcam is their business just as prostitutes but choosing to view them is in our control, so they can’t be blamed for what we undergo. Good or bad, we decide what we ought to do and not someone else because the distraction is not going to end as people are fighting for rights to walk naked on the streets. Porn itself is not good, so individual discipline is really important.
