1.DISCUSS at least 3 ways that toddlers’ more advanced play have an impact in the development of attention. How can adults foster the toddler’s increasing attention?

Ans 1) I am a mother of 4 year old son. Since he is very active, I have to give me him some activties to make him sit at one place and increase his attention span. I give him following activities

1) Puzzles - Jigsaw puzzles, help them sit at one place, and tries to join it, which he enjoys. Hence giving intially 4 pieces and leading to 12 helps them sit at one place.

2) water colour painting - This is more wonderful activity than crayons, as children love brush, water and colours, he can sit at one place doing that. He enjoyes strokes of the paint brush.

3) Reading - Reading is the wonderful activity to increase the concentration. Esp with picture books, children can easily imgaine. it helps in increasing vocabulary also. Daily half n hour of reading is also sufficient to increase their concentration span.

For all the above mentioned activities adults need to be with them, and make them do all the activties.and they have to be encouraging for these activities.

Ans 2) I am discussing about Humboldtian model of higher education which arose in Germany. It is the holistic idea of combination of research and studies. Following are the characterstics of Humboldtiam model

a) this model goes beyond vocation training. This model sees that cultovation of knowledge is in mind and behaviour.

b) This model believes in developing students as autonomous students. The students have their own logic and reasoning, and are individual/world citizen

c) Humboldt beleives that teaching should be guided by current research. And that research should be unbiased of economic political or religious influence. There is unconditional academic freedom.
