Answer #1

Human dignity is a principle that states that every single person is intrinsically valuable, a being that should be revered and respected from the very beginning of existence. The intrinsic dignity of the human being is the foundation of every human right. Extrinsic dignity is referred to responses bestowed by others. The two characteristics of human beings that endow them with dignity according to McCall are autonomy and rationality. A proper response to develop dignity is to develop the ability to reflect critically and objectively on ourselves and on our actions so that we need to rely less on view of others.
