Haloperidol or Haldol is used in patients suffering from Schizophrenia to reduce the psychomotor agitation, hallucinations and delusions.This medications does not cure the mental disorder of Schizophrenia but reduces it's symptoms ,hence,is used as a supportive therapy with the psychological interventions in managing Schizophrenia.

Insulin therapy is in which the patients of psychosis as Schizophrenia are administered with high doses of insulin that sends them to coma, which is reverted by administering glucose to them. This help to reduce the intense psychomotir symptoms of Schizophrenia temporarily for some time. This method too is reducing the symptoms of the disorder and it doesn't cure the malady.
