How are toys perceived in gendered society?

In a gendered society feminine dolls , kitchen sets and other models of home appliances and home are considered as feminine and girls are conditioned to play with them. The macho dolls, tool kits,cars,guns etc are considered as masculine and boys are encouraged to play with them.

Children from the age of two develop the concept of gender and they are most stereotyped in around the age of 4 and 5. They learn this from the cues and motivation given by the adults around them , their observation of people and the world around them. Children of this age strictly adhere in playing with toys of their respective gender.
