Uncertainty state presents when unpredictable future environment is present and situations are in the flux state.

Decision maker is not aware of alternatives , consequences & risks linked to them.

This happens due to unavailability or insufficiency of information.

There are modern approaches to assist & enhance the quality of decision making if uncertainty condition arrives.

• preference theory.
