Answer #1

Bernard Schissel's main argument is that children and youth in Canada often lack basic human rights. Along with this argument, he adds that the lives of youth are stuck in discrimination in education and justice system, including exploitations by corporations, ill health and poverty. Such forms of wide ranging discrimination is what Bernard highlights as faced by youths in Canada. Canada's war on crime has become a war on youth since many youths are becoming victims of such criminal justice system. As highlighted by Bernard, the war on crimes have increased the number of incacerated youths and at the same time makes youths helpless of the things they d. For example, as simple as driking and driving can make a youth charged for a crime. Such justice system only victimizes the youth and are discriminatory in nature.
