Answer #1

Durkheim's theory of suicide is studied for the empirical testing of suicide. It analyzes the importance of egoism in the occurence of suicides with the consideration of the marital and the familial state of the person. The integration of the person is studied in such situations. The regulation and understanding with the interpretation is analyzed in such circumstances. The differences and difficulties in various situations are analyzed in detail. The relation between the group behavior of the persons living in society is linked to the egoism of the person and the tendency to commit suicide. It was found that there is an inverse relationship between group behavior and the tendency to commit suicide. The tendency to commit suicide is directly linked with the behavior of egoism. The official record of the governmental statistics data was compared in the works of Doughlas, Baechler and Besnard. The statistical data sets analyzed the age,sex and the marital status of the person and found the same correlation between death and suicide. The suicide rate was analyzed in families who did not have children. The coefficient of preservation was used for analyzing the suicide rate in various categories like childless couples and unmarried individuals. The rate of suicide was found to be more in childless couples. The values range between 1 and infinity and the values of the coeffcient of aggrevation vary between 1 and 0. It is discussed in the following example --the rate of unmarried is 20, and rate of widow is 60 ,so the coefficient of aggravation is 20/60= 0.33, whereas the coefficient of preservation is 60/20=3.0.The second method is the standardized suicide difference coefficient method (SSDC). The formula is S-C/S +C, S is the suicide rate of the specified group and C is the suicide rate of the comparison group. The third method is the N-method of the analysis of variance. The mean and variance is calculated in various ungrouped and grouped data values. The unmarried single persons, married childless persons, married widow person rates of suicide were calculated and analyzed.
