Discuss the three ways in which educational systems perpetuate social inequality as suggested by conflict theorists.
Explain the functionalist and conflict theorist view about education as an institution in the United States.
The education system promote inequality in our country by: having admission policy where at times the people of one ethnicity are accepted more. They have stereotypes prevalent such as gender and race among its faculty. The functionalist view considers that the various components of the education system work together for the functioning of the education system. The conflict view is that; the education system is in the hand of the capitalist class I.e. the industrialist and the poor are unable to get educated as they do not have the resources.
