WHAT ARE THE TYPE ONE AND TYPE TOW ERRORS? PLEASE USE EXAMPLES TO DISCUSS.
This type if errors occurs in statistical hypothesis testing. A researcher is said to have committed the type one error if he or she reject the null hypothesis when it is true. For instance, a scientist is convinced that when you sleep for ten hours, your brain function rapidly. Here the null hypothesis will be that the brain will not function rapidly even if a person sleep for ten hours. However, after the experiment, the researcher found that the null hypothesis was right but still says that his claim was right. Then here he commits a type one error. On the other hand type two error happens when the researcher accepts the null hypothesis when it is false. Continuing with the same example, if there was a person who work rapidly street sleeping for 10 hours, but due to less evidence the researcher accepts the null hypothesis when it is false. Then here the researcher commits a type two error
