How do you suggest we define “least-advantaged” among older adults and what services should the government provide for them?

Answer #1

Older adults anyway are lesser advantaged than the normal population because of the discrimination and the stereotyping against them, but, lesser advantaged older adults could be identified as the adults who fall on the lower strata of the socio economic status as well as the elders who are present in minority. Also, adults who reside in rural areas or suffer from mental disease. People with mental diseases are discriminated against but adults with mental disabilities face further difficulties. These could be changed by including acts that would be directed towards the older adults, such as the older Americans act or providing social security to this group. It is important that such individuals are identified given appropriate medical services and at least the most minimal requirements so as to live their life in a comfortable manner.
