Question: Which cause of child maltreatment are most difficult to address? Which ones are most amenable to intervention?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Sexual abuse and emotional abuse are very difficult to address because they both happen within a home or within a wall which individuals are afraid of talking about. Especially in the case of sexual abuse, most of the victims do not talk about it out of shame and fear.

Physical abuse and Neglect are the two things which will be spotted by others easily. Even a neighbor can call social services because there will be noise, crying and fighting every time. Negligence can also be spotted by others even without someone talking about it.
