Everyday problem solving often times appears to be much more complex than what is sometimes examined in the laboratory. It sometimes appears that the elaborate processes described in the chapter are not necessarily those used outside of the laboratory. Often times it appears people use a more eclectic approach to problem solving by using components of the different strategies.
Similar to above, identify and discuss a (significant) problem you have had to solve and the strategies used to solve it.
THIS IS A PSYCHOLOGY QUESTION FOR SOME REASON THAT OPTION IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE PHONE PLEASE INCLUDE REFERENCE AND INTEXT CITATIONS PLEASE
I had to go early to work everyday but i was not able to sleep early, and would fall asleep very late. To sleep early i decided that i would not sleep in the afternoon as it may help me sleep early in the night, this is the heuristics technique, a rule of thumb and i also decide that i will sleep one day in the afternoon and other day i wont, so that i get to know if it is working, this is the trial and error method. The other technique i simultaneously used is the algorithm technique, in which i design a complete routine and sleep hygiene procedure before bedtime in order to facilitate sleep. Lastly, i created sub goals in which i would sleep 20 minutes early everyday and then gradually increase it till the goal is met.
