1. Finding new world was intially, only for trade purpose but the basic instint of inhabiting and colonizing the lands they visited was imminent. This provided the rulers with more sense of accomplishments and they started supporting the traders and the traders won nations for them. There were political tensions between the European countries, especially between England, France, Spain and Portugal. Whenever there was a tension in the colonies, it also created tension and strated war in Europe as well. For long, England and French were fighting like cats and dogs because of the this reason. People started learning about new lands and their life style. They started to learn about other cultures and their knowledge. This helped the literature world thrive and flourish in most of the European countries.
2. Europe was in need of new lands and resources, so they dared to go beyond the seas. Even the first ships that went for the discovery of new lands sailed close to the shore. Eventually the saw the prospect of expanding and settling in a fresh land with advanced weapons to fight the natives there. They took all the resources back to Europe, including people as slaves. The settled and fought Europe and liberated themselves to announce new nations and territories, example America.
