Generativity vs. Stagnation is the seventh stage

That occurs during middle adulthood (ages 40 to 65 yrs). In this stage, we establish our careers, settle down in our relationship, and begin our own families. Thus at this stage, we develop a sense of being a part of the bigger picture. In this stage, we give back to society by raising our children, being productive at work, and being involved in community activities and organizations. If we fail to achieve these objectives, we stagnate and feel unproductive.
