Personality factors predict may mortality to some extent. Personality controls our behavior and our behavior controls our lifestyle. For example; someone with an addictive personality may indulge in substance abuse; leading to harm him and shorted lifespan. A carefree and daring may die early due to the accident. A depressed person may lose interest in taking care of his health leading to a bad lifestyle which may lead to early death. A God loving person who; tries to live in a way trying to please God; is likely to be happy and live a longer life. Therefore; according to studies; happily married people live longer than singles.
