Thinking of immigration, should nation-states relinquish responsibility for the social reproduction of migrant labor?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Human being have migrated since their origin. This migration has ranged from journeys of a few mile to poc travels across oceans and continents. Drought, plagues, floods, or other natural disasters have triggered migration.

Some benefits of immigration include a reduction in population stress. This in turn reduces stress on the land- land needed for food production and land needed for homes. It also reduces stress on resources such as water, heating oil or wood, and services.

The growing interdependence of economics regionally and globally is a good predictor that migration will not be stagnant and that it will follow increasingly more complex patterns.

Agency problems, human nature, large and unwieldy boards of directors, and CEO power and control contribute to this breakdown.” (pg 473, Anson) I think this is a great analogy on summing up the different aspects of problems in corporations. It seems to me that a great deal of the focus of the entire company falls solely on the CEO. When Anson speaks on how CEO’s...
