Homework Answers

Answer #1

In Everyman, the author’s perception of death and the treatment of death is something that takes one away from the pleasures of this world. Since no one seemed ready for death it is depicted as something that is terribly feared. The protagonist; Everyman while enjoying the pleasures of life and good company; is unexpectedly called by death which makes him is thunderstruck as he has to account to God for his actions on earth. This is basically Everyman’s journey from a sinful to sin-free life and finally to a holy death. It is a realization of the fact that no one is ready to accompany us, in this journey as when Everyman; asks his friends to accompany him in the journey of death no one agrees.
