An original policy to reduce crime that is based on Social Learning Theory is to closely monitor the primary social associations i.e. peers, family and friends of the children and their secondary associations so that the kids are properly streamlined and do not have any negative influence in their life. The associations of children should be closely monitored as people develop the motivation to commit a crime and the skills to commit a crime under the influence of people they associate with. Thus controlling the social associations of the children in the very beginning is going to lead to the development of positive individuals in a society.
