Answer #1

Various activities in school influenced my perception of my own race and ethnic background. As a child of Asian American origin when my name sounded different from the names of other kids and my language i.e. pronunciation was a bit different from the other kids it created confusion and lack of confidence in me. My race has affected my interactions with others as I am an Asian American and hence I don’t mingle very freely with members of the opposite sex and this has affected my socialization. And learning leading to lack of confidence.
